A Southland Holdings company is looking for a experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Benton, AR. 

 **Required license or nationally accredited certification: NCCCO (CCO) or NCCER certification required.**

DUTIES:

  • Safe operation of a Crane - RT Crane, between 75-120 tons capacity.
  • Handling and/or moving material
  • Handling concrete piles experience required or whatever sounds appropriate
  • Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance.
  • Daily maintenance of equipment-Identify, report and correct hazards
  • Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensure all work is done in a manner which enhances the safety of the work environment
  • Read locate sheets and possible underground and/or overhead utilities
  • Analytical and problem solving skills

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required license or certification: NCCCO certifications required.
  • Must have experience with: Lattice Boom, Mobile, Telescopic Cranes
  • Must be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain for the purpose of performing the duties outlined above.
  • Must work in all weather conditions and be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
  • Knowledge of sub-base materials and aggregation placement and compaction
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures including but not limited to backing up procedures, use of flagmen and spotters, signage, incident reporting, required personal safety equipment and lifting of heavy loads
  • Knowledge of underground and overhead services and articulation
  • Knowledge of the excavator/backhoe loading requirements; load charts; critical picks-Exceptional attendance record
  • Must pass post offer drug screen

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit stand for extended periods of time while operating equipment or using tools.

• Employee will bend, lift, climb, kneel, or squat while moving or lifting heavy materials, forms or equipment

• Employee will be exposed to extreme temperatures and conditions such as dirt, dust, fumes and noises while working on construction sites. Employee may be exposed to mechanical, chemical, electrical or fire hazards while preforming welding or carpentry duties.
